Andrew Yakub is the founder of Rayton and has served as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors since October 2013. Rayton uses patented, particle accelerator-based technology, to produce engineered wafers that can serve as the basis for next-generation electronics impacting industries such as automotive, aerospace, 5G, LED, and solar. At Rayton he has managed over $11M in equity crowdfunding including a $5.5M Reg A+ round in 2017 featuring Bill Nye as the spokesman.
Prior to Rayton, in September 2009, Mr. Yakub founded and led ReGen America, Inc., a financer of commercial and residential solar photovoltaic systems, where he was responsible for the development of over 6 megawatts of solar installations and the awarding of over $3M in government grants. Named to Forbes’ “30 under 30” list in 2016, Mr. Yakub is a two-time clean technology entrepreneur. Mr. Yakub’s experience spans from UCLA’s Particle Beam Physics Lab to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab. He holds a Bachelor’s in Physics from UC Santa Barbara.
