Zach is a consultant, advisor, and attorney with over 17 years of practical and regulatory experience advising companies, investors, and market participants on, among other things, their compliance obligations under the federal securities laws, including nine years at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Formerly, Zach was a Senior Special Counsel in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Corporation Finance and a staff attorney in the Office of the General Counsel.
He has particular expertise in the area of small company capital formation and on various exemptions from registration under the Securities Act of 1933. In fact, he helped draft some of them himself, including Regulation A. Before joining the SEC, Mr. Fallon practiced securities and corporate law in the London and San Francisco offices of Latham & Watkins LLP.
Zach is a frequent speaker on crowdfunding and related issues that arise under the federal securities laws.
Zach is the co-founder and a partner of Ketsal, a law firm focused on financial technologies. Zach is a graduate of Trinity College, London (BFA), the Guildford School of Acting (MA), and the UC Berkeley School of Law (JD).
